Dedicated to perinatal education and training for new graduate nurses, those new-to-service, and staff wanting an enhanced knowledge and skill set in maternal-child nursing.
What We Do Here
Arizona Perinatal Education Coalition (APEC) is Arizona’s New Grad Residency Program for Obstetrical, Neonatal, Newborn, and Women’s Health Nursing. We work in conjunction with Arizona Perinatal Trust (APT) to provide education to staff working in labor & delivery, mother/baby, postpartum, and special care nursery units.
Our Training Focus
APEC provides training in basic and advanced maternal-child healthcare concepts. The Coalition aligns with APT and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) to meet perinatal education needs and certifications throughout Arizona.
Great Training Locations

About Us
APEC works in conjunction with the Arizona Perinatal Trust to meet perinatal education needs by providing education to prepare staff to work in labor & delivery, mother/baby and special care nursery units. APEC provides training in basic and advanced maternal-child healthcare concepts. Classes are taught by experienced nurses, nurse educators, nurse practitioners, and healthcare providers.
